- DATE OF BIRTH: July 21, 1995
- NATIONALITY: Norway
- BOOT: Il Moro "T " I.D.
- BIO: It seems as if Norway breeds freestyle talent, whether they are on one or two planks. Øystein Bråten decided on the path of two planks early on, while his brother went for snowboarding. Together they shredded homemade setups in their garden, and this dedication most definitely paid off, as both are professional athletes in their chosen field. Growing up in the small village of Torpo, between the famous ski areas Hemsedal and Geilo, Øystein quickly found his way into the Norwegian freeski scene and his ascent to the top began. In 2010 and 2011 he became Norwegian champion in Slopestyle and nowadays, at just 19 years old, he is considered one of the biggest talents in the international freestyle circus.

What conditions do you use this ski for?
Home mountain: Andreas Håtveit’s backyard and Gol resort
Ideal day in the mountains
Waking up early and get the first tracks in a park where you get fast laps. Just shred all day long until the resorts close, and then have a session in my backyard in the evening!
How would you describe your style
I try to focus a lot on doing my tricks all ways, and keep them clean and with style.
Favorite place to ride
Folgefonna (Norway) or in Andreas Håtveit’s backyard.
Best snow trip
That have to be my two trips to Breckenridge, Colorado. So much fun!
What cant you live without
Skis and family.
Goals and plans
My plans for the feature is to do the same as I do right now. Ski every day, always try to progress and have fun.
Ski or die!
Øystein Bråten’s choice
Il Moro "T " I.D.
The choice of X-Games athletes Russ Henshaw, Nick Goepper, Devin Logan, McRae Williams, Kevin Rolland, Emma Dahlstrom etc… The IL Moro T Comp is a no holds barred, specialty ski boot that has been designed for today’s new-school rider. The IL Moro T Comp is built on Dalbello’s Krypton chassis and offers the full array of Dalbello’s technology: Cabrio design, Center Balanced “Rocker” Stance, Contour 4 and a very steezy sublimated graphic. Full length, shock absorbing “Landing Gear” footboard, ID Thermo Custom Fit Liners and a clever spring loaded clip that holds the buckle in place when opened to accommodate easy hikes back up the park or while building booters. The IL Moro T Comp is the real deal. Just like the Pro’s use.discover more
