Wintergames NZ... Fantastic starts of the season!

Wintergames NZ... Fantastic starts of the season!

An entire week of skiing that it was finished with 9 medals for the Dalbello Team, Good work guys!

Halfpipe - Top USA skier Devin Logan, who took silver in the 2014 Olympic slopestyle and won the halfpipe World Cup event at Winter Games NZ 2013, led the field at Cardrona Alpine Resort. The event was also the first Platinum-level competition on this season’s AFP World Tour, the highest possible AFP sanctioning.

In the men’s event, French star Kevin Rolland, who took bronze in the Olympic halfpipe, led the ten qualifiers with his first run score of 92.00.

Slopestyle - Norway’s Tiril Sjaastad Christiansen took the top spot with 88.40, setting her up well for her bid to retain the slopestyle title she won at Winter Games NZ 2013, while Italy’s Silvia Bertagna took third with 79.20.

Oystein Braaten from Norway made his last run his best, with his score of 89.90 promoting him from fifth place to second and a hard-earned silver medal.

Big Air - In the Winter Games NZ AFP Freeski Big Air finals the men’s event saw 12 of the world’s top athletes take to the sky to showcase their biggest tricks.
In a very tight contest, consistency paid off for Switzerland’s Andri Ragettli who took the gold medal after qualifying in tenth place earlier in the week.

His two best tricks — a switch left double misty 12 tail grab and a left triple cork 1440 high mute — earned him an unbeatable 180.25 points.
“I was tense at the qualis. It was not really good,” he said, but in the end everything worked out the way he hoped. “It was perfect. I stomped three of three runs and I’m just happy that I won at the end.”

Second place went to Italy’s Silvia Bertagna, jumping consistently for a total of 153.50

Slalom – And a fantastic competition for Marc Gini that earned the second and the third place in two different Slalom race, this is a great start before the world cup circuit!
