Freeride

Since 2010 I have pursued a career as a competitive freeride skier. This lifestyle has led me to travel all over the world and live in Europe, New Zealand and North America. After realising one of my goals to qualify for the Freeride World Tour in 2013, my focus changed to pursuing challenges in wild places, backcountry skiing and ski mountaineering to reach peaks and new ski zones. I am currently producing a two year documentary film with my sister Anna Segal and Bjarne Salén, Finding The Line, which will be released in Novemeber 2017. I have a bachelor degree in Fine Arts and love to write.

3. Perchè ti piace questo modello?: I like that I can ski this boot both inbounds and in the backcountry. It is laterally stiff but still allows for a progressive flex. It feels amazing to leave the house and know that I can ski any terrain without having to change boots.

16. Quale è stato il momento più umiliante: Injurying my back in March 2017. Rehab and returning to skiing and sport has been a lot more difficult than I expected.

18. Obbiettivi futuri, piani e ambizioni: Release 'Finding The Line' a documentary produced with Anna Segal and Bjarne Salén at the end of 2017.
19. Come sei stato coinvolto nello sci touring?: Living in Chamonix, it is a common pastime, I slowly learnt the tricks of the trade and realised how gratifying it was in comparison to lift access skiing. I have been hooked ever since.
20. Quali sono i tuoi skitours preferiti?: I love ski touring in Norway near the ocean, especially around Narvik and the variety of ski tourers that you can access around Chamonix-Mont-Blanc.
21. Cosa c'è nel tuo zaino quando esci in escursione?: Avalanche and crevasse rescue safety equipment, snacks, water, first aid kit, extra layer, ski scraper (for ice on boots and skis), GPS/ inReach when necessary and puffy.
